Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic
- 50 g soft butter
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 8 slices rye toast
- 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
- chili flakes
- 8 thin slices corned beef
- 8 slices hard cheese (e.g., Edam, Emmental)
- canned sauerkraut
Instructions

Peel the garlic cloves and press them into the butter. Mix well and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Lay four slices of toast on a plate and spread 1 tbsp mayonnaise thinly over each.

Sprinkle chili flakes over the mayo, then layer each slice with 2 slices corned beef and cheese. Drain the sauerkraut well, squeeze out excess liquid, and spoon 1–2 tbsp onto each sandwich.

Spread the remaining toast slices with the garlic butter and place them on top of the assembled sandwiches. Grill in a contact grill or sandwich maker for 2–3 minutes until golden. Slice diagonally and serve.
