Ingredients

  • 0.5 Vanilla pod
  • 250 g green gooseberries
  • 250 g red currants
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 ml dry red wine

Instructions

    Split the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds.

    Wash the berries, pat them dry and discard stems. In a pot combine the vanilla pod with the berries, vanilla seeds, sugar, 5 tbsp water and wine; simmer for about 4 minutes.

    Remove from heat, pour into well-sauced jars, seal tightly and let cool.
