Coffee Chocolate Cake

The coffee chocolate cake from Spoonsparrow is not only very tasty, but also comes with little sugar and uses whole wheat flour.

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 150 g raw cane sugar
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 1 pinch Vanilla powder
  • 2 tbsp coffee powder
  • 150 g Whole wheat flour

Instructions

    Beat the eggs with sugar until frothy. Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a double boiler, then stir in the butter and let cool slightly. Mix in the vanilla powder and coffee. Sift the flour over the mixture and whisk until you have a smooth batter.

    Line a springform pan with parchment paper or grease it. Pour the batter in and bake at 180 °C (160 °C fan; gas: level 2–3) for about 30 minutes in a preheated oven. Let cool in the pan.
