Ingredients

  • 400 g Chickpeas (canned; drained weight)
  • 0.5 Red Onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 20 g coriander leaves (1 bunch)
  • 20 g Parsley (1 bunch)
  • 1 small chili pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp Ground cumin
  • 100 g chickpea flour
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

    Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Peel and roughly chop the onion and garlic. Wash, dry shake, and pluck the coriander and parsley leaves. Halve the chili lengthwise, remove seeds, and wash. Squeeze the lemon juice.

    Combine everything with ground cumin and chickpea flour in a blender or food processor, seasoning with salt.

    Shape 16–20 balls from the mixture. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and fry the falafel for about 10 minutes on all sides until golden brown. Drain on paper towels, plate, and serve.
