Ingredients

  • 2 untreated oranges
  • 2 untreated limes
  • 100 g white currants (picked)
  • 2 stalks lemon balm
  • 1 stalk mint
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 l grain spirit
  • 200 g canning sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.

Wash the oranges and limes under hot running water and slice them. Wash and drain the lemon balm, mint, and currants as well. Place the sugar, mint, balm, fruit, and spices in a jar and pour over the grain spirit.

  2. 2.

Store the mixture for about 4 weeks in a sunny spot, shaking occasionally to help the sugar dissolve faster. After the maturation period, filter the liquid through a coffee filter and bottle it in tightly sealable bottles. Let the liqueur rest another 4 weeks.
