Ingredients
- 4 handfuls of elderflowers
- 250 g sugar
- 3 lemons (juice)
- 40 ml double grain spirit
- elderflower (for garnish)
- lemon slice (for garnish)

Rinse the elderflowers and place them in a bowl. Boil the sugar with 250 ml water, pour the hot mixture over the flowers, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it steep for 24 hours by the window to make elderflower syrup.

Filter the elderflower syrup through a cloth-lined sieve, add lemon juice, and heat until just before boiling. Boil a bottle and fill it with the hot syrup. Add the double grain spirit, seal tightly, cool to room temperature, then let it mature for about 2 weeks in a cool dark place before serving.

Serve garnished with fresh elderflowers and lemon slices.
