- 100 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g ground pecans
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 20 g cocoa powder (1 heaping tbsp)
- 1 egg
- 200 g yogurt butter
- 55 g pecan halves
- 20 g powdered sugar (2 tbsp)
Instructions
-
1.
Mix flour, sugar, pinch of salt, ground pecans, cinnamon and cocoa powder; form a mound on a work surface, make a well in the center and crack the egg into it.

2.
Spread yogurt butter around the well. Roughly chop all ingredients with a knife, then quickly knead by hand into a smooth dough, shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
-
3.
On a floured surface knead the dough again, divide into two portions. Roll each portion into long strands about 2 cm thick, cut into 1 cm slices, form into balls, press slightly flat and place on parchment‑lined baking sheets.
-
4.
Top each dough ball with one pecan half and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan; gas level 2–3) for 10–12 minutes. Remove cookies and let cool. If desired, dust the cookies with powdered sugar.
