Chocolate Waffles with Banana Yogurt

Chocolate waffles with banana yogurt start kids' mornings off right: packed with protein for muscles and calcium for bones and teeth.
Ingredients
- 40 g Butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 egg
- 75 g low-fat quark
- 75 g wheat flour type 1050
- 10 g rolled oats (1 tbsp)
- 10 g cocoa powder (1 tbsp)
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 110 ml milk (1.5% fat)
- 125 g ripe bananas (about one small banana)
- 125 g yogurt (1.5% fat)
Instructions

Preheat a waffle iron.

Add butter and honey to a bowl and whisk until frothy with a hand mixer.

Separate the egg. Whisk yolk and quark into the butter-honey mixture.

In another bowl mix flour, oats, cocoa powder and baking powder; fold into the yolk mixture.

Stir in milk until a thick batter forms.

Beat egg white to stiff peaks, fold into the batter, then pour into the preheated waffle iron to make four waffles one after another.

Peel the banana, place on a plate and mash with a fork. Blend with yogurt in a small bowl until smooth; serve over the waffles.
