Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 8 tbsp milk
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate couverture

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Preheat the oven to 190°C.

  2. 2.

Place the butter in a bowl and beat until creamy. Add the sugar and egg, continuing to beat until the mixture becomes frothy. Stir in the milk. Sift the flour together with the cocoa powder and cornstarch over the mixture and stir until combined. Chill for about 30 minutes.

  3. 3.

Fill a piping bag with the dough and select a flat tip.

  4. 4.

Turn the piping bag upside down and gently push the dough slightly downward as you pipe.

  5. 5.

Pipe flat sticks, each approximately 10 cm long, onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.

  6. 6.

Melt the chocolate couverture in a double boiler. Dip each cookie side into the melted chocolate, let excess drip off, and set on parchment paper to harden.
