The Chocolate Nut Bars from Spoonsparrow have an anti‑aging effect, thanks to the vitamin E in the macadamia nuts.

Ingredients

  • 100 g wheat flour type 1050
  • 50 g whole wheat flour
  • 170 g cold butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tbsp beetroot syrup
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla powder
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g macadamia nuts

Instructions

    Mix both flours. Quickly knead a dough from flour, 125 g butter and 1 tbsp cold water, shape into a ball, wrap in foil and chill for about 2 hours.

    Roll the dough between two sheets of cling film, place in a pan and form an edge.

    For the filling melt remaining butter and let cool. Beat eggs, then stir in syrup, vanilla powder and melted butter. Pour the egg cream onto the base. Chop chocolate and sprinkle with nuts over the cake. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) for about 30 minutes until golden.
