Chocolate Granola with Walnuts, Wheat Germ and Figs
This delicious breakfast provides plenty of fiber and protein: Chocolate granola with walnuts, wheat germ and figs from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 30 g Rapeseed oil (3 tbsp)
- 30 g Honey (2 tbsp)
- Salt
- 50 g Lihn Walnuts (available at Reformhaus® )
- 100 g Spelt flakes
- 50 g Reformhaus® (Zartblatt Oat flakes)
- 50 g Dr. Grandel FULL GRAIN Wheat Germ (available at Reformhaus® )
- 10 g Cocoa powder (1 tbsp; heavily degreased)
- 100 g Reformhaus® Figs Softies (5 pieces)
- 50 g Dark chocolate (min. 70% cocoa content)
- 240 g Figs (4 pieces)
- 500 g Yogurt (3.5% fat)

Heat oil and honey with a pinch of salt in a pot and melt. Chop Lihn walnuts.

Thoroughly mix the honey-oil mixture with nuts, cereals, wheat germ from Dr. Grandel and cocoa powder and spread it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C convection; Gas: level 2-3) for about 12 minutes until golden brown, turning several times. Let the granola cool down afterwards.

In the meantime, cut the dried figs into cubes. Finely chop the chocolate. Gently wash, clean and slice the fresh figs.

Mix the cooled granola with dried figs and chocolate and fill it into airtight jars. Serve the chocolate granola with yogurt and fresh figs.
