The Chocolate Coconut Squares from Spoonsparrow are a must on any cake buffet. With nuts and coconut the cake becomes delicious and healthy.
Ingredients
- 250 g soft butter
- 100 g coconut blossom sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 125 g chopped hazelnuts
- 125 g shredded coconut
- 230 g wheat flour type 1050
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- powdered sugar from raw cane sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Cream butter with coconut blossom sugar. Gradually add eggs. Grate chocolate and mix it with nuts, shredded coconut, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and cocoa; fold into the butter mixture.

Spread dough about 3 cm thick onto a parchment‑lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan) for about 25 minutes. Remove, cool, cut into squares, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
