Chili Oil with Fresh Chilies

Finds use in almost every savory dish: The tasty chili oil with fresh chilies from Spoonsparrow heats things up nicely.

Ingredients

  • 150 g red chili peppers
  • 4 tbsp sea salt
  • 100 ml olive oil

Instructions

    Wash, trim and chop the chili peppers or cut them into small pieces. Mix with salt and let sit for about 30 minutes.

    Then strain over a sieve overnight, then spread on kitchen paper and dry for another 2 hours.

  3. 3.

    Transfer to a jar, cover with olive oil and let steep for one week before use. Store cool and dark – lasts about 6 months.
