Ingredients

  • 1 kg sour cherries
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 500 g gelatin sugar (2:1)
  • 20 ml cherry brandy

Instructions

    Wash, pit the cherries, and place them in a large pot with the sugar and cinnamon stick. Let steep covered for about 1 hour.

    Bring the cherries to a boil while stirring, then simmer for about 3 minutes until bubbling. Stir constantly and skim off any foam that forms. Stir in the cherry brandy, fill hot sterilized jars with the jam, seal tightly, and let cool.
