Ingredients
- 4 croissants
- 500 g sour cherries (jarred or fresh pitted sweet cherries)
- 50 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 250 g yogurt (whole milk)
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- a handful almond cookies
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
- butter (for the baking dish)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan.

Tear the croissants into large pieces and spread evenly with the drained cherries in a buttered baking dish.

Whisk together the sugar with vanilla sugar, yogurt, cream, eggs and cornstarch. Pour the mixture over the croissants and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

Before serving, sprinkle with crushed cookies and dust with powdered sugar.
