  • 40 ml water
  • 40 ml milk (low-fat)

    A cappuccino consists of espresso and milk foam.

    If the espresso is too strong, you can also use brewed coffee beans.

    The best way to make the milk foam (from low‑fat milk) is with the steam wand of an espresso machine. Alternatively, use a manual milk frother, a small whirlpool device available in specialty stores.

    Prepare an espresso using about 7–8 g of espresso powder and 40–65 ml water in an espresso machine or a two‑part espresso pot.

    The espresso tastes best when freshly ground beans are used. The cup should be preheated.
