Ingredients

  • 150 ml broth
  • 250 g ground beef
  • 50 g celery sticks (finely diced)
  • 2 carrots (finely diced)
  • 2 onions (diced)
  • 1 can chunky tomatoes (ca. 400 g)
  • 3 tbsp chopped herbs (rosemary, sage, parsley)
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 cannelloni tubes
  • 50 g finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

    Sear the ground beef in a large pan, then add onions, carrots, celery and tomato paste; sauté briefly. Pour in broth and reduce slightly.

    Stir in chunky tomatoes and herbs, simmer for another 30 minutes. Butter a baking dish, fill cannelloni with the meat/tomato sauce, arrange in the dish, sprinkle with Parmesan, and bake at 200°C for 30 minutes until gratinated.
