Ingredients

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 stalk Celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 sprig basil
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • 2 sprigs marjoram
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 250 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 400 g spaghetti
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • basil (for garnish)
  • mixed salad (to serve)

Instructions

    Peel and finely dice the carrot and celery. Peel the onion, strip herbs from stems and roughly chop them; reserve some marjoram or thyme leaves for garnish.

    Heat oil, sauté onions and pressed garlic, add vegetables except mushrooms and cook briefly. Add ground meat in portions, stir over high heat until crumbly. Season with salt and pepper, stir in chopped tomatoes, and simmer about 30 minutes, adding herbs.

    Ten minutes before cooking time ends, add sliced mushrooms. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, let rest, and serve on plates. Pour sauce over pasta and garnish with basil.
