Ingredients

  • 1 head white cabbage (ca. 1 kg)
  • Salt
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 Apples
  • 300 g mayonnaise
  • 50 g Heavy cream
  • 8 slices bacon
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Wash, trim and halve the cabbage. Then shred it into fine strips. Salt, knead well, and let rest for 30 minutes. Wash, peel, and slice the carrot into fine strips.

    Peel, halve, and slice the onion into fine strips. Wash, halve, seed, and dice the bell pepper. Peel, quarter, seed, and cut the apples into very thin strips. Rinse the cabbage briefly under running water and drain well. Then mix with the carrot, onion, and pepper pieces.

    Fold in 200 g mayonnaise. Mix the remaining mayonnaise with the cream. Tear the bacon into pieces, then crisp it in a non-stick pan. Season the salad with salt and pepper. Divide into bowls, sprinkle with bacon, drizzle the mayo-cream mixture on top, and serve.
