Buttermilk Pancakes

Buttermilk pancakes: This pancake recipe works with buttermilk and little sugar and tastes fantastic!

Ingredients

  • 190 g spelt flour type 1050
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 1 egg
  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 200 g mixed berries (frozen)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup

Instructions

    Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a bowl. Then whisk the egg, buttermilk and 2 tbsp oil with the dry ingredients into a smooth batter.

    Heat remaining oil in a pan and cook the pancakes in portions over medium heat for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

    Meanwhile, place berries in a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat once. Stir in maple syrup, remove from heat and serve with the finished buttermilk pancakes.
