Brussels Sprouts with Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts
  • Salt
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp plant oil
  • 50 g almond slivers
  • 1 tsp orange zest (unprocessed)
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • Nutmeg (freshly grated)

Instructions

    Wash, trim, halve the Brussels sprouts and cook in salted water for about 15 minutes until slightly firm. Drain, rinse with cold water and let drain.

    Peel the garlic and slice thinly. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and almonds until golden.

    Add the Brussels sprouts and orange zest, heat for 1-2 minutes, then season with salt, pepper and nutmeg before serving.
