Bread with Liver Sausage

Spoonsparrow bread with liver sausage combines crisp baked baguette with spicy spread – simply delicious again and again.
Ingredients
- 150 g red onions
- 1 tbsp fruit spread (wild berry)
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Salt
- white pepper
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 80 g veal liver sausage
- 8 slices baguette
Instructions

Peel the onions and slice into thin rings.

Add fruit spread, balsamic vinegar and 2 tbsp water to a small pot and bring to a boil. Add onion rings and cook over medium heat for about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper and let cool.

Tear off half of the thyme leaves and stir them into the liver sausage.

Toast the bread slices in the oven on both sides until golden brown. Spread the liver sausage on the toast. Top with the onion salad and garnish with the remaining thyme.
