Ingredients

  • 300 g tomatoes
  • 200 g Ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 0.25 green bell pepper
  • 2 baguette rolls
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan

Instructions

    Blanch tomatoes for a few seconds, cool, peel, quarter, deseed and dice. In a bowl combine ground beef with egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, 1/2 tsp oregano and ketchup; mix well and form small meatballs.

    Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs over medium heat all sides. Add tomatoes, season with salt, pepper and remaining oregano. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes. Wash, trim, halve, deseed the bell pepper, remove white membranes and dice finely.
