Ingredients

  • 2 old-fashioned rolls
  • 1 onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 stalks Parsley
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 500 g pork ground beef
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 300 g mozzarella
  • 150 g cooked ham (sliced)
  • 50 g hot fat (butter or vegetable oil)
  • 4 Spring Onions

Instructions

  1. 1.

Preheat the oven to 200°C with both top and bottom heat.

  2. 2.

    Soak the rolls in water.

  3. 3.

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the parsley, strip leaves from stems, and finely chop. Heat butter in a small pan and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent, then remove from heat and stir in parsley.

  4. 4.

Combine the ground beef with the onions, eggs, squeezed-out roll crumbs, salt, and pepper; knead well.

  5. 5.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the mozzarella into rounds. Spread the meat mixture onto wet parchment, top with ham slices, place mozzarella rounds on top, then roll up using the parchment and slide onto the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle hot fat over the rolls and bake in the preheated oven for 60-80 minutes.

  6. 6.

Wash the spring onions, dry, and cut into thin rings.

  7. 7.

Slice the roast into portions and serve garnished with spring onion rings.
