Ingredients

  • 4-6 mature, large, yellow salad cucumbers
  • iodized salt
  • 175 g pork bacon
  • 1 small onion
  • sugar
  • Pepper
  • Vinegar
  • flour

Instructions

    Peel 4–6 mature, large, yellow cucumbers, remove any bitter parts, scoop out the seeds, and cut the cucumber pieces into coarse chunks.

    Sprinkle with salt and let sit for a short while. Dice 175 g pork bacon and fry it in a pot until browned. Dice 1 small onion, add it later and sauté until translucent. The cucumbers have absorbed some water – add them back to the pot with the water and simmer until tender.

    Season with sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, and finish by binding with flour.

    TIP: Serve with boiled potatoes.
