Blitz Tomato Sauce

Blitz-Tomatensauce von Spoonsparrow für Pizzateig und Nudeln: Getrocknete Tomaten geben dieser Sauce das besonders intensive Aroma.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 3 stalks basil
  • 100 g sun-dried tomatoes (in oil)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste (40 g)
  • 425 g canned tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp honey (15 g)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Peel and roughly chop the garlic. Peel and finely dice the onion.

    Wash, dry, and pluck the basil leaves. Drain the sun-dried tomatoes, reserving 3 tbsp of the oil. Roughly dice the tomatoes.

    Puree the garlic, onion, basil, tomato paste, sun-dried tomatoes and reserved oil, canned tomatoes with liquid, and honey in a food processor or in a tall mixing bowl using an immersion blender. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
