Ingredients

  • 800 g fresh plums
  • 250 g soft butter (or margarine)
  • 250 g sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 bottle rum flavoring
  • 5 eggs
  • 400 g flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp sugar-cinnamon mixture

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or grease it. Wash, halve and pit the plums. Beat the butter or margarine until fluffy. Stir in the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and rum flavoring. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Combine the flour and baking powder, add to the mixture and stir into a smooth batter. Spread the batter evenly on the tray. Place the plum halves cut side down on top of the batter and bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes.
