Blackberry Bread Casserole

The sweet blackberry bread casserole by Spoonsparrow tastes simply always!

Ingredients

  • 150 g blackberries
  • 100 g red and black currants
  • 50 g small strawberries (or raspberries)
  • 80 g butter (room temperature)
  • 250 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 0.5 organic lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 40 g honey
  • 8 slices whole grain baguette (or toast)

Instructions

    Wash berries gently, pat dry and clean.

    Grease a baking dish with a little butter. Warm milk with lemon zest and orange juice in a pot. Beat eggs with honey, then stir in the warm milk. Cut baguette slices in half. Melt remaining butter over low heat in a pan and whisk into the batter.
