Blackberry and Apple Jam

Ingredients

  • 1 kg blackberries
  • 2 tart apples
  • 500 g gelatine sugar (2:1)
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 60 ml Calvados

Instructions

    Rinse the blackberries, pat dry and clean. Peel the apples, quarter them, remove the core, dice the quarters finely and combine with the blackberries, sugar and lemon juice in a pot; mix well. Let sit for about 1 hour and lightly press down with a potato masher.

    Then bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for about 4 minutes until sparkling. Add the Calvados and perform a gelling test.

    Fill hot-washed jars, seal tightly and allow to cool.
