Ingredients

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 1 kg gelatin sugar

Instructions

    Wash, clean, and cut the strawberries into pieces. Puree finely and pour into a pot. Stir in the lemon juice and gelatin sugar. Bring to a boil while stirring. Cook for about 4 minutes, then turn off the heat and skim off any foam.

    For the setting test, drizzle a few drops of the jam onto a cold plate. If it firms up, the jam is ready to be bottled.

    Fill prepared, hot-washed jars so they are almost but not quite at the rim. Seal tightly with a lid and let cool.
