Beef Goulash without Red Wine

Ingredients
- 750 g beef goulash
- 2 onions
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 large red bell pepper
- 3 tbsp clarified butter
- 1 tbsp sweet paprika powder
- 250 ml meat broth
- 400 g ripe tomatoes
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 bay leaf
- 0.5 tsp hot paprika powder
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried marjoram

Brown the beef in batches in very hot vegetable oil until all sides are browned. Peel and roughly chop the onions, press the garlic through a press. Wash, trim, halve, seed, remove the white membrane from the bell pepper and dice it.

Add the onions to the beef and cook over reduced heat. Briefly sauté the sweet paprika powder, then pour in the broth. Briefly blanch the tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, seed and cube them. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, marjoram, bay leaf, garlic and bell pepper. Simmer for about 1 to 1½ hours, adding a little water if needed to thicken the sauce. Season the beef goulash without red wine with pepper, salt and hot paprika.
