Beef Stew

A hearty beef stew made with fresh ingredients from the beef category.
Ingredients
- 800 g beef goulash
- 5 tbsp oil
- 4 stalks celery
- 4 Carrots
- 80 g mushrooms
- 2 onions
- 2 Garlic cloves
- cumin (ground)
- piment
- 0.5 tsp caraway (ground)
- 800 ml meat broth
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions

Wash, trim and roughly cube the celery.

Peel the carrots and cut them into large pieces as well.

Clean the mushrooms and slice them.

Peel and dice the onions and garlic cloves.

Brown portions of beef in 3 tbsp oil. Remove and brown onion cubes until golden. Add carrots, celery, caraway, cumin, piment and garlic; deglaze with broth. Cover and simmer for about 1.5 hours. Brown mushrooms in hot oil and add them to the stew during the last 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve sprinkled with herbs.
