Ingredients

  • 2 old-fashioned rolls
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 700 g mixed ground meat
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp medium-hot mustard
  • Salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • 3 onions
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 150 ml dry white wine
  • 350 ml beef broth
  • 4 tbsp Sour cream
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. 1.

Soak the rolls in lukewarm water.

  2. 2.

Peel the garlic and press it into the ground meat. Mix with eggs, mustard, and well-squeezed rolls; season with salt and pepper. Shape small balls from the mixture. Wash the peppers, halve them, remove seeds and white walls, then cut into thin strips. Peel the onions and slice into thin strips.

  3. 3.

Heat oil in a pot or tall pan and brown the meatballs all around. Remove and set aside. Sauté the onions in the drippings until translucent, add pepper strips and cook together. Deglaze with wine, pour in broth, return the meatballs, and simmer over medium heat for about 25 minutes.

  4. 4.

Stir in sour cream, season with salt and pepper, and serve sprinkled with parsley.
