Bavarian Cheese Cream (Obazda)

Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 250 g Camembert
  • 1 Tbsp soft butter
  • 1 tbsp natural yogurt
  • 1 tbsp beer
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 1 pinch ground caraway
  • Salt
  • ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp chives
  • paprika powder for dusting
  • pretzel for serving

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Mash the Camembert with a fork, then mix in butter, yogurt, and beer. Stir in about two‑thirds of the onion, paprika powder, and caraway. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Sprinkle the remaining onions, chives, and paprika over the Obazda and serve immediately.

    Serve with fresh pretzels on the side.
