Banana Chips

Fresh banana chips are a vegetable dish that you can enjoy with many other recipes from Spoonsparrow.

Ingredients

  • 4 green cooking bananas
  • plant oil (for frying)
  • coarse salt
  • pepper (ground)
  • chili flakes

Instructions

    Peel the bananas and cut them into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Heat plenty of oil in a tall pan. Add the banana slices, turning until golden brown, then remove and drain on kitchen paper. Gently press all slices flat and season both sides with salt, pepper and chili. Reheat oil in the pan and fry the chips again until they are brown and crisp.
