Baked Pumpkin with Garlic

Spoonsparrow baked pumpkin with garlic is always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 800 g pumpkin flesh (e.g., Hokkaido, butternut)
  • 3 red chili peppers
  • 50 g ginger
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 untreated orange
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 200°C with upper and lower heat.

    Cut the pumpkin flesh into wedges and place in a baking dish. Wash the chilies and cut them crosswise in half. Slice the ginger, including the skin, into thin rounds. Crush the garlic cloves. Rinse the orange hot, pat dry, grate its zest finely, then squeeze out the juice. Add the orange zest, juice, garlic, ginger, and chili to the pumpkin. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle maple syrup and olive oil over it, and add the cinnamon stick.
