Ingredients

  • 2 small French whole‑grain baguettes
  • 8 slices medium Gouda cheese
  • 2 tbsp passata tomato puree
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 8 slices cooked ham
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

    Cut the baguette sticks in half horizontally. Place a slice of cheese on each side. Spread the tomato puree over the lower halves. Slice the fresh tomato and arrange it with the ham on top.

    Arrange the baguette halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (fan: 180 °C; gas: level 3) for 5–10 minutes, until the cheese melts. Fold the halves together and serve.
