Ingredients

  • 1 slice of country bread (large)
  • 4 thin slices smoked turkey breast spread
  • 1 small red onion
  • 2 tsp capers
  • 100 g Gouda cheese (1 thick slice)

    Cut the bread slice in half and toast it or roast it in a hot oven at 220°C. Dice the cheese. Peel the onion, cut it lengthwise into halves and then into strips.

    Spread the turkey slices, onion strips, and Gouda on the toasted bread halves and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for several minutes until the cheese starts to brown slightly. Remove, sprinkle with capers, and serve immediately.
