Ingredients

  • 600 g apples
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp Calvados
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp almond kernels

    Quarter the apples. Remove cores, peel, and cut into wedges. Sprinkle with sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon, then let sit for 15 minutes.

    Fill four oven‑proof ramekins with the apple wedges, drizzle with juice and Calvados. Spread the stiffly beaten egg whites over them. Distribute almond flakes on top and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes until the surface turns golden yellow.
