Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 chili pepper
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • lime juice
  • Salt
  • ground pepper

Instructions

    Boil the tomatoes briefly, cool them, peel, seed and dice into small cubes. Finely dice the peeled shallots.

    Finely chop the chili pepper.

    Peel the avocados, cut them lengthwise in half and remove the pit. Dice the flesh into small cubes. Alternatively, cut off the top third of an avocado and scoop out the flesh and pit with a spoon; it can then be filled later.

    Mash the avocado with a fork, mix thoroughly with lime juice, onion rings, chili strips and tomato cubes. Season with salt and pepper, and fill hollowed avocado shells as desired. Serve with tortilla chips.
