Apple Waffles

As a dessert or afternoon snack, these apple waffles always taste great.
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 4 tbsp soft butter
- 1 tbsp honey
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 150 g flour

Peel the apple, quarter it, remove the core and dice the quarters into small cubes. Sauté briefly in 1 tbsp hot butter with honey and then remove from heat.

For the waffle batter, cream together 2 tbsp butter with sugar and salt. Gradually add the eggs, then alternately stir in the milk and the flour mixed with baking powder.

Brush a hot double waffle iron (e.g., with small round indentations) with a little butter. Pour the batter into the wells and bake lightly. Place some apple cubes on one half of each waffle and close the iron. Bake until golden brown and remove from the iron. Serve the apple waffles hot.
