Apple Tart with Coconut Flakes

A fresh apple tart featuring a buttery crust and sweet coconut topping, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 150 g butter
- 180 g granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 120 g shredded coconut
- 160 g flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 2 large apples

- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 20 g chopped almond slivers

Peel, core and dice the apples. Cream the soft butter with sugar until fluffy, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Combine shredded coconut, flour, baking powder and milk; fold into the batter and gently stir in the apples.

Line a 26 cm diameter tart pan with butter and dust with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter over the crust, sprinkle with sugar and almond slivers on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C (or 170 °C fan) for 35 minutes. Remove and cool. The tart tastes even better after one day.
