Apple Jelly with Pomegranate

Ingredients

  • 1 kg tart apples
  • 1 Pomegranate
  • 1 kg gelatine sugar

Instructions

    Wash the apples and cut them into pieces. In a pot cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until soft for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then strain through a fine sieve and let drain for about 3 hours, catching the juice.

    Remove the pomegranate seeds and press them through a sieve, collecting the juice. Add the pomegranate juice to the apple juice and measure it out. Add an equal amount of sugar and bring to a boil while stirring. Boil for about 4 minutes, perform a gelling test, then fill prepared jars. Seal immediately and let cool.
