Apple crumble with oats by Spoonsparrow: This autumn dessert is crunchy and juicy at the same time! Who can resist it?

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp liquid honey
  • 40 g soft butter (+ 1 tbsp for greasing ramekins)
  • 2 tbsp chopped almonds
  • 40 g raw cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp spelt whole‑grain flour
  • 1 tbsp hearty oats
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

    Wash, peel, quarter the apples, remove cores and dice the quarters. Mix with lemon juice and honey. Grease four ramekins with butter and fill with apple mixture.

    Roughly grind almonds with sugar, flour, oats, butter and cinnamon between hands into crumbs and sprinkle over apples. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

    Remove the apple crumble from the oven and enjoy hot.
