Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 60 ml milk
  • 4 red‑skinned apples
  • 60 g Butter
  • 60 g brown sugar

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C fan.

    Crumb the flour with sugar and chunks of butter. Add the milk and knead into a smooth dough.

    Wash the apples, quarter them, remove the core, and cut the quarters into strips. Melt butter with sugar in a hot pan. Mix in the apples and let them caramelize slightly. Pour into a baking dish. Form dough balls and place on top of the apples. Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or cooled.
