Spoonsparrow's baked apple jam makes every breakfast something special!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg sour apples
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 1 kg pectin sugar
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

    Peel the apples, quarter them, remove cores and dice the flesh. Mix in lemon juice and sugar. Let the mixture sit overnight to draw out the juices.

    Add the cinnamon stick to the apples and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 4 minutes while stirring occasionally, then stir in the gingerbread spice. Perform a gel test; remove the cinnamon stick. Transfer to prepared jars, seal, invert, and let cool.
