Ingredients

  • 50 g dates
  • 50 g almond slivers
  • 40 g sunflower seeds
  • 25 g unsalted peanuts
  • 50 g 5-grain flakes
  • 30 g puffed amaranth
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 25 g sultanas
  • a pinch of salt
  • 75 g butter
  • 50 g cane sugar
  • 4 tbsp liquid honey

Instructions

    Pit and chop the dates.

    Add almond slivers, sunflower seeds, peanuts, grain flakes, puffed amaranth, and chopped dates to a bowl. Stir in cinnamon, sultanas, and salt, mixing well.

    Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan. Whisk in sugar and honey, then bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring constantly.

    Pour the hot sugar mixture over the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Line a 24 cm springform pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture into it.

    Press down firmly and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (convection not recommended, gas: level 2‑3) for about 25 minutes. Let cool completely, release from the pan, and cut into triangles.
