Almonds in Cocoa Coating

Ingredients

  • 100 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Egg white
  • fat (for frying)
  • 250 g peeled whole almonds

Instructions

    Sift the flour with the cocoa into a bowl. Stir in the milk, egg, salt and sugar, cover with a cloth and let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Then stir vigorously. Fold in the lightly beaten egg white. Heat the fat for frying.

    Add portions of almonds to the dough, use a fork or praline fork to remove them individually, let them drain briefly, then drop into the hot fat and fry until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Dust with cocoa.
