Ingredients

  • 225 g powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

    Beat the egg whites very stiffly, adding the lemon juice and gradually incorporating the sugar. Continue beating on the lowest setting until the meringue is firm and holds its shape.

    Fill a piping bag fitted with a large star tip with the meringue and pipe heart‑shaped rings about 6 cm in diameter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (medium) for about 1 hour, allowing them to dry rather than brown. Remove and let them continue drying overnight at room temperature.
