Almond Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 g flour
  • 125 g peeled, ground almond kernels
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 90 g powdered sugar
  • 125 g cold butter (in pieces)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g almond sticks
  • 3 tbsp fine sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

    Make a shortcrust dough from the listed ingredients. Shape into a ball, wrap in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. On a floured surface roll out the dough to 3 mm thickness and cut out triangles.

    Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg yolk with 2 tbsp water, brush over the cookies and sprinkle with almond sticks. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (middle rack) for 10-15 minutes. Dust with sugar and let cool.
